Our Story

A Place Where Finances Make Sense

Dao Wealth was built on a simple belief: that understanding your money should feel like reading a familiar sky — orderly, calm, and entirely within reach.

How We Began

Founded in Bangkok, Shaped by Experience

Dao Wealth opened its doors in 2019 in the Lumphini neighbourhood of Bangkok. The founders — a pair of educators who had each spent many years working in personal finance and adult learning — noticed that most financial education was aimed at young professionals, delivered in fast-paced formats, and filled with language that left older learners feeling excluded.

They wanted something different. A learning environment where questions were not just tolerated but actively encouraged. Where sessions moved at a considered pace. Where the content reflected the actual financial landscape of Thailand, not distant markets or abstract theories.

The name Dao — meaning star in Thai — was chosen deliberately. Stars give orientation. They are steady, familiar, and have guided people for thousands of years. That is what we try to do for our participants: offer steady points of reference in what can feel like a complicated sky.

Our Mission

Education Without Pressure

Our mission is to help people in their forties, fifties, and sixties build a clear, informed understanding of their personal finances — at a pace that suits them, in language they can actually use.

We are educators, not advisors or salespeople. We never push participants toward specific products or decisions. Our role is to lay out the landscape clearly, answer questions honestly, and encourage every learner to seek qualified professional advice before making significant choices.

Our Values

  • Respect — for every learner's pace, background, and question
  • Clarity — plain language, always; no jargon left unexplained
  • Honesty — about what we do and do not cover
  • Community — small groups build real confidence

How We Work

Our Standards and Commitments

Qualified Facilitators

Every programme is delivered by facilitators with verified backgrounds in finance education and adult learning. We do not use unqualified presenters.

Regularly Reviewed Content

Course materials are reviewed at least twice yearly to reflect changes in Thai tax regulations, savings products, and banking conditions.

Privacy First

Participant data is handled with care. We collect only what is needed, store nothing unnecessary, and never share details with third parties.

Participant Feedback Loop

Each cohort completes a structured feedback form. We read every response and use it to improve future sessions — nothing is ignored.

Transparent Pricing

Programme fees are published clearly. There are no hidden charges, no upsell sessions, and no pressure to purchase anything beyond what you enrolled in.

Regulatory Awareness

We operate as an educational provider, not a licensed financial services firm. We are clear about this distinction and always direct participants to licensed professionals for regulated advice.

About Financial Education for Adults

Why Midlife Is the Right Moment to Learn

People in their forties and fifties often reach a point where significant decisions are approaching — retirement planning, inheritance, property, healthcare — yet feel they lack the background to approach those decisions with confidence. This is not a personal shortcoming. Financial literacy is rarely taught well, and most available resources assume either a young audience or a professional one.

Dao Wealth sits in the gap between those two worlds. Our programmes are designed for people with full lives, real responsibilities, and little patience for content that wastes their time. We cover the topics that matter most during the second half of a working life: building savings habits, understanding Thai deposit and fund products, preparing for predictable costs, and thinking clearly about what retirement might look like.

Our centre in Bangkok's Lumphini district is accessible by BTS and offers a calm, comfortable setting for learning. Sessions are held on weekday evenings and selected Saturday mornings to suit participants who are still working. Recorded content for the Mapping the Sky programme means that travel or schedule changes do not mean falling behind.

Every session at Dao Wealth ends with a short reflection exercise — we call it the guiding star — where participants identify the single most useful idea they are taking away. It is a small thing, but it reinforces the habit of thinking clearly and acting deliberately. That, in the end, is what financial education should do.
